"Zog rubbed his eyes. Of course he did—it was the middle of the night, and now he had to kill one of his best… not vassals. Not really servants either. Whatever. The point was, Pendergast had been porking—trying to pork?—Zog’s daughter, and he’d be lucky to get the shaft. The shaft was what Zog had been reconsidering naming the holes that dropped people in the ocean, but he was reconsidering that reconsideration now.
“Dad, it’s not what you think.” Bean said, wrapped in a blanket.
“Okay then. Explain t’me what you and Pendergast were doing in your room, with your clothes off and his pants down.” Zog sounded a lot more patient than he felt. Pendergast cringed."After Bean and Pendergast get caught fooling around, there's not much Zog can do except marry her off-- right? Hopefully she won't kill this one.
