Summary
“Jesus!” Steve hurries forward. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you.” Before he’s even halfway into the room, the man’s already on his feet and turning around. He has a face as perfect as his ass. High forehead, square jaw, pink lips with a hint of a natural pout. Short, wavy, dark brown hair. His wide, deep-set eyes are a clear and luminous gray. Those eyes widen as the man takes in the sight of Steve staring at him.
Something about that wide-eyed, slightly nervous look catches at Steve’s memory. “Bucky?”
Steve remembers a shy, sweet teenager, with soft round cheeks, eyes too big for his face, and a wild head of hair. If this really is Bucky, some time in the last few years, he grew into his face and is now so gorgeous that Steve’s having a little trouble breathing. The lean, toned body beautifully displayed by a black shirt and gray pants don’t help the breathing situation either.
“You… have a beard now,” Bucky says faintly.
or, Bucky finally gets to do something about his decades-long crush on his best friend's older brother...

Summary
He finds no door. He finds no crease, no crack, no window. He doesn’t let the panic coiling in his stomach take over. He walks around the cell at least twenty times, just making sure. It’s a four by four cell, simple and effective. The walls are concrete but old, covered in slime and moss. The only opening is the small window where the walls meet the ceiling, guarded by three bars. It’s far too small for him to ever hope to get out of.
Mist and a pitiful amount of sunlight continue to whisper past the bars, curling in the air in front of his face. He knows what this is. He knows why this is. He knows - they’re never coming for him. No one is.
Or, shortly after the Winter Soldier fails to kill Captain America on the helicarriers Hydra throws him in a cell in the middle of no where and leaves him for dead. Steve finds him, because of course he does. Featuring; the angel known as Bruce Banner, the assholes known as the Government and a whole lot of setting aside responsibilities.

Summary
The sound of hoofbeats pulled Steve's head around and he froze.
A chestnut centaur, tail so long it would have brushed the ground if it wasn't flagged in challenge, was galloping through the fighting. He was carrying a human and a dryad on his back, cradling a tiny sprite in one arm, and holding a wicked looking metal spike in his other hand. A chimera lunged for him, and he reared, showing no hesitation as he smashed it with one front hoof, then stabbed down with the spike, sending it skittering back.
Steve broke out of his trance and flung the shield. It smashed into the chimera, flattening it, and the centaur bolted for the safety of the barricades, his passengers clinging tightly.
Another centaur. There was another centaur in New York. He'd thought he was the only one.
