It isn't often that Jesse finds himself forgetting important events, but when he does it never turns out well for him. Like that time he forgot Genji's birthday, and the younger Shimada brother brought it up at every possible opportunity to get what he wanted.
This time Jesse has a sinking feeling that it's a little more than a birthday. A lot more than just a birthday, but really, what can happen in three months? Surely he didn't forget much.
The way Hanzo looks at him makes Jesse want to tear his hair out just to remember.

Summary
Valentine decides kidnapping Jace and Simon is the way to go, leaving them imprisoned with no way out and no choice but to rely on one another.
As expected, things don't exactly go to plan.

The words are so honest, too honest, and they almost hurt to hear. Jace doesn't want them floating around in his brain, doesn't want the knowledge of Simon's side of the story. If he knows, if he has even a glimpse into the depths of Simon's feelings, he knows he might just agree with him.
Plus, the fact that Simon's letting this slip, to Jace no less, only solidifies something that Jace doesn't want to acknowledge, that neither of them do. The fact that they're not going to make it out of this alive, not both of them, at least. What's the harm in being honest, this honest, if the words won't have the chance to be repeated?
