Catra’s exhaustion began to fall away in sheets as she walked up the first flight of stairs, then down the hall and finally to the door home. Her hearing could pick up the hints of crying, but she couldn't make out where it was coming from. She trusted that if Adora had felt shitty, they would have texted her. A smile spread across her face as she pulled on the door hand, pulling her bag a little higher on her shoulder as she pushed open the door, expecting to see Adora's big, dorky smile.
Instead, she heard crying.
