He got all of Steve's memories in sharp fragments and horrible pieces. Who knew all this pain would come from Steve 'Princess of All that is Good' Harrington--the perfect golden boy himself? Billy certainly didn't. It wormed deep within him, made Billy hate himself more than he already does, made him want to beg for that Wheeler girl to come wrap her arms around him, made him hate these woods and the demodogs that might be in them.
Billy knows what a demodog is now, and it's all thanks to Steve.

Tommy, Billy, Steve, Carol, Heather, and Robin have just moved into their Miami duplex....they've got furniture, they've got their belongings, but what about the other stuff???
Welp, looks like Billy's got take the two dinguses, Tommy and Steve, with him to Ames discount department store (ie. 1980s Dollar Tree) to get some stuff for their home. Humor and hijinks ensue. Billy nearly has an aneurysm, Steve wants to set the house on fire, and Tommy doesn't know how to decorate to save his life.

Billy didn’t immediately recognize the woman in front of him as his mother. His mom was tiny and fragile and made of jagged edges. This woman is radiant and healthy. Her skin is golden. Her hair is yellow like flowers, eyes honed in on him brimming with tears.
Their eyes match--startlingly blue irises with thick long lashes, the same stub of a nose, and gorgeous hair. The older he got the more he was told he looks like Neil. The people who have seen her knew there wasn't a contest.
He looks just like her.
He watched her swallow, a few tears fell from her eyes as she smiled “hi, sunshine.”
