Summary
- A fanfic of two physics teachers with very opposing views: arguing and smut eventually ensue. I wrote this for my friends, hope they like it! -
Olivier Denis and Socrate Badeau: Both physics teachers, but that's about where their resemblances end. Their contradictory views on things like pedagogy, academics, and student-teacher relations make it clear to anyone that they would absolutely, never, ever get along, but there's no point in thinking about that, right? Mr. Denis is Socrate's substitute: He leaves, Socrate comes back, and everyone goes back to normal.
That is, unless Olivier never leaves the school in the first place.
Olivier stays at Anjou; he and Socrate fight about their students and teaching methods, and, eventually, they kiss it out.

Summary
So Grace wants to have the upper hand the next time they fuck. Why does that idea seem so far out of reach? He sticks the pen he’s holding uselessly over a blank piece of paper between his teeth and lightly chews on it, staring at the paper in front of him. The original plan was to brainstorm ways he could catch Rocky off guard, shake him up a bit, and make him regret all those times he called Grace his plaything by using him instead. But he doubts that writing IDEAS FOR DOMMING ROCKY at the top would go over well with Rocky if he found it, and he absolutely would find it some way or another. Grace can hear the chirping of his laughter now.
(In which Grace wants to be in control for once, Rocky wants the same, but neither of them will admit it.)

“Grace?"
Grace shakes his head, bringing himself back into the moment. “Sorry, Rock. What’d you say?”
“What Grace want for birthday,” Rocky repeats himself, tone more insistent this time.
“Y’know,” Grace says, deciding an unrealistic idea is better than no idea at all, “I think I want a hug from my best friend. If you can figure that one out, you’ll never have to get me another birthday gift again.”
“Rocky will continue to get Grace gifts anyway.” Grace flushes at the declaration, which he does not want to address. Rocky is quiet for a moment after, tapping his claws on the ground in thought. And before Grace can tell him he was just joking, don’t worry about it, just make him some xenonite barbells so he doesn’t lose these muscles so fast, Rocky is perking up and skittering to leave the room again. “Rocky know how to get Grace gift! Will take some time. Late gift. Will make up for it next Earth year.”
(Or, the one where Rocky's birthday present to Grace ends up getting a little out of hand.)

“No understand word, Rock.” Their relationship? What about their relationship? His heart skips. Their occasional language barrier is like getting a patch of static right at the good part of the show you’re invested in.
Rocky hesitates to speak for a moment. “New word: suspected mates.”
Grace’s world tilts on its axis. There’s just no way that’s right. He reaches up and drags his beanie off of his head. Only then did it feel right to implore, “…Your people think you and I are mates?”
Or
Ryland Grace spends years in space falling in love with his best friend and keeping it secret, convinced Rocky could not possibly feel the same. Rocky, always on the same page, is conducting identical research.
It’s why they’re such a great team.
