Summary
That wasn’t what caught Jayce, making him turn his head backwards to glance at the owner of the voice like smoke and fire, with, he now realised, amber eyes to match.
It was the sheer, brazen confidence with which he answered.
It was the way he somewhat absently twirled his hair between his fingers as he spoke aloud an equation Jayce had probably known before his mouth went dry. He would have probably answered with it himself had he not stopped dead in his tracks at that moment.
When his teacher paused in thanking the newcomer to their class for his conclusion, he watched as he paused at the register, leaning in to check it briefly.
“-yes, thank you, Viktor.”
Viktor.
