In recovery from his war wounds, Ben finds an advertisement in the newspaper: "Lady, fiancé killed, will marry officer maimed, blinded, or otherwise incapacitated by the War." This lady clearly views herself as something of a nurse in want of a man for whom to care. She is, of course, grief-stricken by the loss of her fiancé and believes herself incapable of finding love or marriage in any normal way. The best she can hope for herself is to be of use to someone in need.
And Ben... well, he is in need.

Summary
The newest detective on the Coruscant Organized Crime Investigation Unit is tasked with investigating the First Order Syndicate's underboss, the infamous Kylo Ren. When a chance encounter brings them face to face, Rey has to grapple with her instant attraction to the dangerous criminal, transfixed by his dark eyes and hypnotic presence. This forbidden desire is only further fueled when she is tasked with listening to surveillance recordings from Kylo Ren's home. Rey despises the man, but she cannot deny the erotic influence of his sultry voice despite her better instincts.

Ben Solo wasn't liked around the office. He had outbursts of rage, and he was generally rather unpleasant, harsh, difficult to get along with. He seemed to despise others and to be disinterested in anything anyone talked to him about. Rey didn't like him very much, their few encounters had been difficult, some even shouting matches. To her eyes, he was spoiled, ungrateful of the privileges he’d been granted by life. He refused to join Resistance enterprise for a long time, working for Snoke instead, he was harsh with Leia and Han, hostile with Luke…
It all changed two months before Christmas, when they entered Resistance enterprise headquarters to find Holdo dishevelled, alone when Leia never missed a day, and she informed them that Ben Solo had almost succeeded in committing suicide the night before.
Rey’s world tilted upside down.A Christmas story full of angst, but also hope, love, healing, forgiveness, and acceptance. And family, of course.

Summary
The Force moves in mysterious ways, and sometimes it even has its own agenda. Rey finds herself caught in a battle with fate that throws her together with Kylo Ren, binding them together in the most powerful way possible... only to have fate drop her like a hot potato.
A broken Force Bond isn't the easiest thing to bear, especially when the one you're missing is your sworn enemy and the father of your child.
Warning: Parenting: Skywalker Style.
(Kind of a deconstruction of the X-made-them-do-it-to-have-a-child fics, which always seem to end once a kid is born, whereas I'm more interested in what comes AFTER the not so happily-ever-after.)

She's bleeding out all over some Unspeakable who sounds absolutely livid as he growls threateningly about procedure violations and the brash, idiotic behaviors of hotheaded Aurors. It's all right and good because her coworkers are generally so incompetent that they undoubtedly deserve the verbal abuse, except Rey is pretty sure she's going to die if she doesn't make it to St. Mungo's in the very near future.
