Buck is exhausted right down to the core of him, body aching from the last 48 hours of his shifts—his throat is bruised and sore, reducing his voice down to a hoarse whisper, and his ribs hurt from where he’d gotten knocked into a concrete barrier during a rescue, and his bad leg is throbbing so badly from the barometric pressure change that comes with the Santa Ana winds that he’s limping around his apartment. He wants to cry a little he’s so tired, and then there's a knock at his door and it's the last person he was expecting, and if he's honest with himself, the exact person he was yearning to see.

When Eddie was a kid, she hated haircuts. Or more accurately, she was terrified of them. She would refuse to go to the salon until her split ends could be seen from across the room, and even then her parents would drag her kicking and screaming.
Now, she's sitting on a stool in the bathtub to try and minimize the mess, and Buck is behind her holding the razor high, like a weapon, or a flag of truce.
"Ready?" She asks.
Eddie nods, "Let's fucking do this."

Buck has to grasp Eddie’s legs to keep himself upright. Shame and excitement are at war in the pit of his stomach, both loving and hating the idea of being so openly depraved. Shame wins out in the end though, just like it has time and time again. He goes to reach for Eddie’s pants once more only to have his wrists caught in a strong grip. He tries to tug himself free but Eddie holds firm. “C’mon, this isn’t funny, Eddie.”
Eddie just stares at him, calm and collected like he’s been all afternoon. He doesn’t let go. “Who’s laughing?”

“Hey, what’s that one from?” Tommy asked, his finger brushing over the small scar that Buck had all but forgotten was even there.
“That’s a memento from a very unfortunate first date,” Buck said, not thinking twice about it.
Tommy pulled back entirely, staring down at him with horror. “She tried to slit your throat?”
“What? No!” Buck was quick to correct him, wincing at his own wording that he could see might have been misinterpreted in a much more horrific way. Considering how embarrassing the truth was, maybe he should have stuck with that story but getting that horrified look off of Tommy’s face was his current priority. “She had to perform a tracheotomy to save my life after I choked on a piece of bread on our first official date.”
Or, the one in which Buck and Tommy cross yet another first off of the list and learn even more about each other in the process

You’re hot, TK.” He reaches into TK’s sweatshirt before he can do anything to prevent it, pulling out the panties and once again dangling them in front of TK. “I want to see you in these and nothing else.”
