Gwyneth Berdara never considered herself brave. Never considered herself particularly worthy of the term, certainly not even after the events of the Blood Rite near a half-year ago... She had awoken choking on fury and tackled Emerie with a snarl. Cool, scarred hands plucked her from the female. Shadowy tendrils of solid obsidian attempted to coax her into calm… She regretted the moments after, but not too terribly. Slapping Azriel across the face, cursing Emerie. Cursing him. Both Illyrians flinched. Azriel less-so. His eyes bore into her, seeing her. Her body shivered and his eyes widened. Only just. But his right foot faltered back a step.
Since then he has been aloof and indifferent, and it makes her blood boil!

I thought if I should make someone up, I should have them at least look respectable in my grandfather’s eyes.
