“You gonna say something?” Katsuki muttered, voice low. “You’ve been following me around like some fishy ghost since I got here.”
The Mer didn’t answer.
Instead, he let out a soft trill—gentle and curious—before gliding closer. His tail shimmered like ink in the dim water, dark green fading to black at the tips. His eyes never left Katsuki’s.
Katsuki didn’t move.
The lights flickered.
