You’d think with how long the war has been going on he’d have prepared himself better. But, alas, he’s never been one to plan ahead, and even if he was, this type of situation has always seemed impossible so he probably wouldn’t have thought about it anyway.
Life always has its way of sneaking up on you at your most vulnerable and then beating you to a pulp (figuratively and in some instances literally) until you can’t fucking see straight. This is definitely one of those instances. He doesn’t think any words can describe the feeling of being perfectly content one moment, and the next feeling the family magic mourn as he instinctively knows his brother just died.

Steve Harrington wasn’t always a Harrington, He was a Potter. He moves to Hawkins, Indiana in an attempt to shield his nephew from the burdens that come with being heralded the Boy-Who-Lived. With the help of his brother’s friend Remus Lupin, he deals with making a living in the muggle world, going to college, raising his nephew, and oh, yeah, fighting inter-dimensional monsters, all while trying not to expose himself as a wizard completely.It’s safe to say he kind of fails.

Summary
There are three things Harry Potter has come to expect:
1. Her impulsive risk-taking when it comes to protecting those she loves, and the mania that tends to ensue.
2. Magic will forever continuously surprise her by its boundlessness.
3. And beyond those two truths, nothing is ever certain.
Before the rebounding killing curse can land, Tom Riddle and Harry are pulled into the Upside Down. But it’s only Harry that makes it out, and she falls right into Hawkins after the mall fire tragedy.
Mania ensues. Because, of course, love for her is easier than breathing. And so, she loves.

Harry Potter jumps through the Veil to follow Sirius.

What starts as an attempt to “just help out” slowly alters the course of events in Hawkins- sometimes for the better, sometimes with consequences no one could have anticipated.
