Summary
Mav’s both eyebrows twitched. “That does sound like it’s going to be a problem.”
“I didn’t mean it like that,” he said, making himself look straight ahead, avoiding eye contact. “He’s a shithead in the same way you are.”
“Bradley,” Mav said, and he was using that tone, the one that made Bradley feel like he was fifteen again.
“What? It’s true. He has the same lack of brain-to-mouth filter, doesn’t know when to quit, I can go on if you want,” he said, but Mav didn’t take the bait. They marched down the tarmac, getting closer and closer to the others’ hearing range, and Mav was still staring at him, expecting an explanation. He sighed. “He’s my ex-boyfriend.”
“Your—” Mav exclaimed, falling a step behind Bradley, before catching up, striding inches away from Bradley’s side. “From before?”
"Yep."
“Why didn’t you say anything?”
God, why was this tarmac so long? “As much as I’d prefer to avoid him, orders are orders, Mav.”
Or, it's time for the special detachment and Bradley's decisions from five years ago are finally catching up with him.

Summary
“How long are you staying?” Bheem asked, hopeful.
Ram grimaced.
“Not long. A week, at most.”
“I understand. You are needed elsewhere,” Bheem breathed out sympathetically. He forced out smile. “The work has just begun.”
“We will have plenty of time to plot and plan later. Not tonight. Tonight…” Ram heavily dropped his cup down, crossed his legs, and leaned forward. Tonight, he just wanted to be light. “I've been told you are catching horses now? Did that happen before or after you pierced your nose?”
Bheem bit his lip before smiling a real smile, eyes sparkling with joy. Ram felt so light he could float away.

Summary
“Uh oh, there goes your boyfriend,” Lucius called. He nodded toward the front windows.
Stede turned from the wall he was papering in time to see a handsome, long haired man striding out into the parking lot. Today he was wearing a short black shirt, and his many tattoos were on full display. The man mounted a motorcycle and kicked it on with a low grumble that could be heard even inside the building.
“Think you’ll ever just say hello to him?” Lucius asked. “Maybe casually park your car by his bike, happen to be walking in as he’s leaving work, say, ‘oh hello, very cool gentleman in your leather outfit, my name’s Stede, I enjoy staring at your arse through the windows every day—”
“Oh, leave him alone,” Oluwande interrupted. “Stede’ll talk to him when he’s ready. Or he won’t.”
--
Or, in which Stede comes out in his forties and jumps head first into the queer community, even if he's still a little too intimidated to talk to the handsome guy who runs the tattoo shop a few doors down.
