“I’m just trying to keep you safe!” Eddie shouts.
“Well I don’t need you to!”
Volt shrinks back when Eddie’s jaw ticks and his fists ball up at his side. He thinks, if they were still part of the breaker box, that there might be sparks dripping from his fingertips at the moment. Something in his chest throbs painfully when Eddie takes a deep breath and turns on his heel toward the entryway, grabbing his keys. “I’ll leave then,” he mutters.
And then he’s out the door.
Volt looks back at you, his eyes wide and hands shaky, and sees you huff and cross your arms over your chest. “Typical,” you complain. “Running away without actually solving the problem. That’s just like Eddie.”
“Live wire, we should go after him,” Volt begs. He can’t stand the idea of his two loves fighting. Of the three of you being separated. Of anything coming between you. Of Eddie being gone, for any reason.
You scoff, and it makes everything in Volt seize up. “Eddie can come back and apologize whenever he wants to. You know he will. I’m gonna enjoy my freedom while I have it.”

"You should've known they were plotting something when Eddie holds Volt's gaze for a moment while you're looking over your cards. You're losing pitifully, and both the boys look all too amused when you end up folding. Once your cards are discarded Eddie's free hand pulls you into him so you snuggle into his side and look at his cards."
