Summary
Vanessa West is a doctor at Gotham City General Hospital. She runs one of the city's largest charity projects, the social healthcare center there. The whole thing is financed by the Wayne Foundation.
One night, Vanessa is rudely awakened when Batman crash-lands on her roof terrace. It quickly becomes clear that he will die if she doesn't find an antidote to his poisoning. After his successful rescue, she offers him her help for future emergencies.
And when Bruce Wayne turns up at the social healthcare center to get an idea of his parents' legacy, Vanessa's life is thrown into turmoil.The story begins on the night Batman is poisoned by Scarecrow. Then it continues with (made up) events between "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight", and then with the events during "The Dark Knight".
