Summary
Will Graham never joined the force, never went to school. There was only so many times Dennis could reject Mac. It was too much, to keep living through the same tiresome routine year after year.
So Dennis moved out.
But Mac wanted him back. He wanted to make Dennis jealous — that's where Charlie came in.

"I've got a crazy idea," Mac announced. "What if, hypothetically, Dennis does like me back, and if I wanna win him back, I've gotta make him jealous?"
"I dunno, dude. I think that's a reach." Charlie shrugged.
"What if we pretended to be in love?"
Charlie practically goddamn choked on his coffee, putting the mug down as his eyes bulged wide and his face turned red. He felt his heart stop dead, but couldn't place why. "What?! What the hell would that do?"
