Rei let go of Haru’s jacket. He felt bad for yelling at Haru, who was only ever trying to help. Rei could vaguely hear Haru continuing but wasn’t paying close attention. Eventually, he turned back to the wall, slumping to his knees and laying his forehead against it. Just like before.

He figured it would be nice to have some time alone before anyone else decided to show. He could try to find a book to read or just kill time on his phone. A sort of calm before the storm that would be the other AppliDrivers’ arrival.
However, the thought was short lived, as a loud snore caught his attention.

Gao trailed off as he tried to wipe the tears Tasuku didn’t even know he shed. Although it looked like Gao’s hands made contact with Tasuku’s cheeks, Tasuku couldn’t feel them. By the look of Gao’s fallen face, he’d come to the same conclusion.
