Summary
Jaskier has zero intention of sharing the degrading experience of getting tortured. Ever. He’ll bury the memories and someday they’ll be as scabbed over as Caingorn was.
Which had been completely, absolutely, fine. And the only reason that wound is bleeding a little now is because fucking Geralt came out of nowhere—after the most humiliating experience of his entire life—and reopened the fucking thing. But that’s fine because he’ll leave and return to the terror of his smuggling work and forget about Geralt all over again. There’s nothing hard drink and the constant danger of execution won’t get his mind off. Because there’s something therapeutic about fearing for one’s life that makes anything not of immediate concern go away.
So yes, things were just fine before Geralt showed up.
Two years post-Caingorn, Geralt rescues Jaskier from prison and sends him with Ciri to Kaer Morhen. However, Geralt suspects Jaskier is hiding serious trauma.

As Jaskier struggles to regain his footing after Geralt cast him aside on the mountain, he soon finds that destiny is not done bringing Geralt into his life, whether he wants The Witcher there or not. When Geralt hears the bard's latest song and feelings begin to come to light, it is up to the Witcher to see if his friendship with Jaskier can be salvaged, and up to Jaskier to determine whether he can allow Geralt back into his life.

“You have an eyelash,” Phoenix remarks, instead of ‘are you okay?’
“I have around 270 eyelashes, Wright,” Edgeworth grumbles, wiping a small patch of dust from his desk with a handkerchief.
Phoenix thinks that Edgeworth’s staunchly logical approach to the comment shouldn’t ignite such a strong desire to swipe the eyelash from his cheek and replace it with his tongue.
Edgeworth has been coming into work in various states of dishevelment for weeks. Phoenix doesn't know whether he should help button his shirt up or take it off completely.

Miles Edgeworth has a realization. Phoenix Wright also has a realization. If there's a significant length of time between these two events, well. No one ever said the course of true love ran smooth.
(Edgeworth thinks they're dating, Phoenix doesn't realize - mostly because they've basically been in unspoken love for so long that nothing really changes, until it does. Nebulously post Dual Destinies.)

Summary
