    Peter seems to remember who he is, his name, his losses, his responsibility as the 'friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man', but everything that led to this moment? That led to being stranded in this foreign place? Half-remembered and hastily stitched together.

    Gotham is colder than New York, the faces are unfamiliar, the skyline jagged and grim, and the heroes... strange and foreign.

    He is haunted by visions of a dour, inescapable green; his memories muddled and vague. He knows he needs to get his narrative in order, needs to remember it properly, but now Peter has garnered the unwanted attention of Gotham's idolised protectors. And try as he might, he cannot seem to shake them off.

    A gunshot, an explosion, laughter turning to screams.
    Look, Peter’s had a rough week, and that’s not even including the part where he died, because he couldn’t remember that bit. He was not going to put himself in that situation again. He couldn’t let Nightwing call anyone.
    Maybe he panicked. Maybe he punched Nightwing.

    Or: a thirteen year old Peter and his massive amounts of trauma end up in Gotham, and he does his absolute best to avoid the people who could help him

    After losing the fight with Thanos, Peter is left in a bad way. A very bad way. When the snap happens, Peter knows there is no escape.
    He doesn't expect to wake up drowning in green.

    “I hope they remember you.” Thanos raised his hand, stones glowing.

    “Wait, wait, stop, please!” Peter’s ribs ached, his lungs trembling with the need for air, but Peter couldn’t stand there and watch Mr. Stark die, he just couldn’t. With a thwip of his webs, he slid in between Mr. Stark and Thanos. “Can’t we talk about this?” He pleaded.

    “Kid, don’t.” Mr. Stark gasped.

    “There is nothing to say. The universe must be saved and this is the only way.” Thanos’s eyes on Peter chilled him to the bone. Peter had seen a lot since he started running around Queens as Spider-Man. A lot. He’d seen crazy eyes, angry eyes, sad eyes, eyes full of grief, eyes full of fear. Never before had he seen such emotionless eyes as those Thanos had. There was no hate, anger, or fear in those eyes. They were completely calm.

    They didn’t look crazy at all, and it was terrifying to see when he knew just what the Titan had planned.
