She wishes she could shake them out, slam her forehead on something so hard all the awful gross thoughts come tumbling out. Sometimes they're so bad she gets nauseous, feels bile raise up in the back of her throat, when she closes her eyes and imagines a cold corpse pressed against her in the sleeping bag. She get so scared to open her eyes, afraid she will see David's bashed-in face leering next to her, gurgling revolting words with his slashed throat. Blood would bubble up on his tattered lips, brain matter would slosh in his open skull.

Ellie and Joel journey from Salt Lake City to Jackson. It should be a short drive, but Ellie struggles to return to herself after the events of the season/game.
