Aerion Targaryen was currently far too focused on the figure before him, Duncan Pennytree had become a mystery he was determined to solve :
« I don't understand. I mean, look at me, my beauty is living proof that God exists »
He turned to the members of his small council, composed of Daeron Targaryen, Tybolt Lannister, Valarr Targaryen and Kiera of Tyrosh, before continuing :
« So explain to me why this mere peasant, Duncan Pennytree, isn't attracted to me ? »
Valarr Targaryen crossed his arms and offered a suggestion :
« Perhaps Duncan isn't drawn to a person's looks, but to their personality ? »
The room fell silent, awaiting a rational reaction from the young Targaryen, perhaps even a moment of introspection. However, everyone knew his temperament all too well and his reply surprised no one :
« Oh yeah, it’s true that when I had sex with that other guy last time, what really struck me was his inner richness... Got any other bullshit excuses ? »

If they truly are hiding that he is an omega then they are doing an admirable job of it. Especially considering the scent of him that had had Dunk fighting hard not to bristle.

A blob of a figure, crouching on him while brushing his hair aside so softly he might’ve mistaken this as a way of flirting. It brought himself closer to Dunk, sniffing at his neck with a hum of satisfaction, it bit him. Right on his neck and sucked his blood. A fire sensation rapidly permeating his skin to his body. Dunk thrashed around, as he shrieked from the pain.
His hands place on its nape, tapping it before gripping it tight as he tried to get them away from him. But nothing happened. It strength overpowered him as it pushed harder into him.
“My mate.” It whispered in his ears.
And promptly, Dunk lost his consciousness.

Summary
After the Ashford Tourney, Aerion Targaryen bears the scars that Ser Duncan left upon him. Oftentimes, his fingers flit to those scars and much to his irritation, he cannot stop thinking about the hedge knight either.
In a twist of fate, Aerion meets his scar-giver again when his wagon party is attacked by bandits on the road to the Free Cities.
After saving the Targaryen Prince, Dunk finds himself tested, provoked and pushed in ways he cannot quite understand. Aerion believes him to be nothing but a brute and Dunk wishes to show him otherwise.
However, proving him wrong might lead Dunk to encounter something far more intimate than he’d ever intended.
