“It’s… fine. I simply… worry.”
“You say that like you’re incredibly constipated,” Merezhen noted. “Like, ‘dies on the toilet’, constipated.”
“You know, I deserve a medal for putting up with you. You have the romantic inclinations of a castrated troll.”
“You and I both know, from personal experience, that trolls can be romantic and virile.”
Astarion laughed. It was neither loud nor raucous - lest Wyll throws a shoe at their tent again. It surprised him, however. Strange to have such a turbulent gut and fluttering, terrified heart and still find it within himself to laugh.

Merezhen snorted, of all things. “Well, it’s hardly the first impromptu, unrequited love confession I’ve received since this all began.”
Silence lingered until Merezhen noted his gaze upon her. Well, gaze or… increasingly incredulous glare. Same thing, really. Who cared about the finer details?
“How many impromptu, unrequited love confessions have you had?” He wondered.
“Uh…”
“Merezhen,” he began, with the patience of the gods -
“Everyone?”

(i watched like six episodes of the great and i just love dhawan!master okay. he's the best. i want a short series of him as the doctor and if i have to do it myself so BE IT!!!!!!)

If the Doctor was feeling nostalgic, she’d say there was a time when she knew Koschei’s mind better than her own. Better than even he did, most days.
If she were feeling cruel, she’d insist that there was nothing beyond the veneer of horror – that what had once been her friend was nothing more than a cover, to disguise the monster of a man he’d grown to be.
And if she were truthful, the Doctor would admit that there was once a time where she knew Koschei intimately, wherein his hearts she entrusted all of her secrets, and he returned the gesture. But there was a darkness within them both, and whilst she hid, and deflected, and used it as a bitter knife hidden within kind words, he fractured and split and lashed out at the skies.

A 'what could have been' for the ending of the Timeless Children, where the Doctor realises the Master's game and they escape together, an unsure future spread out before them. I don't know if I'll continue it, but please let me know if you'd like that! -
