Summary
Essek Thelyss opened a cat café in the Empire to spite his mother. That much had been the basis of his move. Changing from being the first son to a ruling den of the Dynasty, to waking up at 4am to ensure that the baked goods were ready to go in ovens, and the cats had enough play and treats before customers came in.
There was just this one customer who visited every day that kept catching his eye, although they didnt speak too much to one another.

Only a mage driven to insanity or desperation burned their own tissues for seidr.
Loki had far too much experience with both and even he wasn't fool enough.
But the Norns had never had mercy for the likes of Loki...Stripped of the body he'd always known, Loki is bound in his true form, that of a frost giant runt barely on the cusp of adolescence. Yet no one knows what lies under the false image of the disgraced second Prince of Asgard, certainly not Thor. Odin knows full well that Loki would not survive the truth of his lineage being uncovered, and he still had use of his stolen relic.
However – weak from months in Asgard's dungeon after barely recovering from Svartalfheim and Thanos' ministrations – Loki is stolen from Asgard's dungeons by Thor. As the only known wielder of two Infinity Stones, the Avengers hope to use Loki to uncover the reason behind their appearance on Earth. Especially in light of the Mind Stone taken form as their newest ally: the Vision.
But they are not the only ones who have use of a bound child mage.

Darcy, on the other hand, is dealing with her own family issues after discovering she's adopted. But perhaps befriending a self-proclaimed god will help distract her from her problems? There will be humor as well as angst and plenty of opportunities for some to receive the slap upside the head they deserve. The story begins just prior to the conclusion of the fight between the Avengers and the Chitauri but does not start on Midgard.

Modern/90s AU widomauk drabble for a series of tiktoks that I'm doing. Tags will update as I write and make decisions. Caleb and Molly start out a tenuous friendship as neighbors on floor nine, neither aware of the colorful dreams the other shares with them each night.
But it's probably just a coincidence that Caleb dreams of a purple haired, horned creature that looks a lot like Mollymauk. And that Molly dreams of a boy consumed by flames. Right?
