“Rock and roll.”
He looked at Sirius sharply, and for once, matched his grin. “Yeah.”
“Maybe that’s my excuse then,” Sirius said. “I cause a bit of chaos now, and maybe one day, it’ll turn into rock and roll.”After losing his mother at age eleven, Remus has spent the better part of the last four years bouncing from school to school or else running around London and pretending as though he wasn't the kind of well-bred boy his father brought him up to be. Now, with his chances all run out, Remus is sent to Hawkings Independent School as a last-ditch effort to clean up his act. There he meets the very people who will set up the rest of his life, and is forced to confront the pieces of himself he'd long thought had been lost.

“Sirius,” Remus said.
That was the only warning.
He said it softly, like a statement, almost casually– so casually that Sirius turned expecting him to ask something about what they were having for dinner, or telling him he wanted honey in his tea, or complain about how off brand sports-drink didn’t taste as good as Gatorade.
Instead, Remus’ knees were already buckling. His arm was sliding off of the granite corner of the countertop, and his shoulder was colliding with the barstool to his right, and his body was thudding against the hardwood, and the only warning Sirius got was his name. That was it.
He was moving before he even realized what was happening.

Summary
Purpled received the short end of the stick his whole life. He’s been fighting this losing battle since he was a little kid, and he’s fine with it. He’s been alone for so very long, and he’s fine with it. He can handle it.
But what happens when he can’t handle it? What happens when he’s not alone anymore?
Hermitcraft has always been a safe space for broken people. A place where they were able to heal with red dust on their fingers and blocks placed in the right places.
Their new member is no exception to the rule. Even if it would take a while, Hermitcraft would make sure he had a home with them.
