So good. Marvelous. Astonishing in fact. Absolutely the best Sherlock case fic I've read.
It's a very heavy reading mostly because it's very realistic - relationship problems; worries about a lot of things; thinking if I am doing the right thing and more.
I loved the pacing of the story - the reader gets to read at the beginning of every chapter flashbacks that reveal more and more of the plot.
The case was very interesting from the beginning to the end and really complex!
My limited vocabulary can't really express how I feel about this fic. The realistic depiction of the story is almost scary. You really feel for all of the characters here because they have such human problems that you really empathize with them. And I need to say: John in this fic deserves a LOT of hugs. Poor boy.
I'm very glad I could read this. -

This. This story. I have no words. It's soft, it's realistic, it's brutal; it's about self acceptance, about finding a love when you least expect it, about how hard and harsh life can be, but also how lovely and enjoyable it can be.
Story about not giving up and realization, that life can be everything you want, if you're willing to fight for it.

They stood face to face in the middle of a clearing. The dim light of the moon barely allowed Sherlock to see the glassy terror in John’s eyes and the sweat that glistened off his forehead. His nose was bleeding again, blood dripping in a slow stream from his right nostril.
They were both gasping for air, John’s eyes locked on Sherlock’s. There was no recognition there, just wild animal fear.
Time stood still for an eternal few seconds, and Sherlock took a shaky breath. “John—”
Spell broken, John spun and bolted back into the woods.
Still heaving for air, Sherlock took off after him.
