When his shot is poured, Nick clinks the glass against Darcy's without bothering to ask what it is, tosses it back, and types six words above his 11 digits into the note. Darcy's cheering over his shoulder, effectively bursting his eardrum, the strains of a familiar song playing underneath their shouts.
"Press share, press share!" they urge, a fist pummeling the back of his shoulder.
On screen, a grey box displays the phones nearby that have AirDrop activated. "You know this is homophobic to Androids, right?" Nick says, eyes scanning the bubbles as they pop up.
"Androids are homophobic, Nickleby."
OR: Darcy dares Nick to AirDrop a note with his phone number to a random iPhone at a bar during Nick's seemingly endless summer of celibacy. Nick is drunk enough to do it. And there's a phone cleverly named Chuck Summer. Why the hell not?

Summary
Heartstopper Soulmate AU where any mark you make on your skin shows up on your soulmate's. A long time ago everyone had a soulmate throughout time that changed and at present they are so rare that most people think they are legends and made up fairytales. Nick certainly never believed in soulmates but he also has no explanation for the random words and marks that appear on his skin from time to time. He doesn't worry though, because they're harmless, so there's no use thinking about them. The story follows Nick as he figures out what a soulmate actually is and dealing with all the ups and downs that are associated with it. Along the way he finds guidance from both his mother and surprisingly his art teacher Mr. Ajayi.

As our customer turns from staring down the others in the new (wrong) line, an untucked dark curl releases from his hair.
It elicits a puff from his mouth to blow it back into place as he returns his gaze to the inside of the truck, “Hi.”

Here's the thing: soulmates are rare—really rare. Only people with rosemarks even have soulmates, and rosemarks aren't exactly common, are they? It makes sense that there would be so much misinformation out there about what happens in between getting your rosemark and figuring out who your soulmate actually is.
And there's no way Charlie Spring is Nick's soulmate. There's just no way—not when he's the reason Nick's got Hanahaki Disease and is coughing up petals.

Nick Nelson finds himself working in an office job he doesn't care about sitting next to the most beautiful man he's ever met - only thing is he's not sure why he's suddenly finding a man beautiful. There's a a journey of bi-sexual awakening for Nick and some old wounds throwing up insecurities for Charlie given Nick's slightly hot and cold behaviour while they work out who they are for each other.
However there's quite a lot of flirting and pinning in there thrown in plus they help each other work out what they really want from life both in a relationship and in other aspects. For anyone who's ever been dissatisfied at work this might ring a few bells too!

However, when a video of Nick and the boy who awakened his sexuality that Nick had purposefully kept dormant for years kissing is recorded and spread around campus, Nick's world is flipped on its axis. He's forced into a public outing he wasn't quite ready for and Nick is left to deal with the aftermath that leaves him with a lot of drama, hurt, and baggage that he’s not sure he ever wants to unpack. So, he swears off any distractions, closing the door on all of it - love and relationships and his desires to fulfill a part of himself no one else seems to want to accept. If it isn’t about rugby, if it isn’t about fulfilling his pre-determined destiny, he doesn’t entertain it. And it's all okay because all Nick wants for his last year of uni is to be someone his father can be proud of again. That is until he comes across one Charlie Spring.

Summary
Over the last nearly four years, Alphas Charlie Spring and Nicholas Nelson have been engaged in an academic rivalry at Valor University, an esteemed Ivy League institution in Massachusetts, USA. Despite each garnering considerable respect—Nick for his rugby prowess and Charlie for his excellence in mathletics— as far as Charlie is concerned, them being at the top of their class and being british are the only common traits they share.
However, the thing about Charlie is that he's not actually an Alpha—he's an Omega in hiding. He doesn't remember that but he remembers seeing him run for the first time, catching him behind the drums during a rehearsal he walked by. Christ, of course Nick noticed Charlie Spring back then and of course he remembers him now. Charlie Spring is the reason he found a part of himself he didn't know existed.
