Summary
It is said that when two universes collide, they can sometimes leave bruises on the other.
So when Sophie Granger, a 12-year-old problem child, angry and miserable due to bullying at Hogwarts because of her illustrious single mother, finds some experimental magic to cause these collisions, she sets out to deliberately make some happen. Perhaps a happier universe will bump into and bruise her own ... one where her mother isn't estranged from a mysterious father, whose identity Sophie has never known. For the adults involved, the temporal ripples from these collisions show them each a world of what might have been, and force them to examine the wounds in a once-close friendship that could have become so much more.
