She tries to suggest a fun idea that they can do together. Maybe smoke a little pot and hang out? Low maintenance, low risk. Like all plans involving Catra, this escalates then derails quickly. Hijinks and fluff ensue. Will Adora ever just have one nice day with her chaotic cat?

'The entire place is decorated like the cosiest, most festive living room. There’s a real fire crackling in the small fireplace, tinsel hung everywhere, and a sparkling Christmas tree in the corner with presents underneath. It smells like red apples and cinnamon and Christmas, and Adora doesn’t know how long it must’ve taken to set everything up.
But there’s one thing Adora does know.

“It’s about compromise,” Glimmer supplies, “seeing how well two conflicting people work together under difficult circumstances for an extended period of time. Adora goes to the gym everyday, Catra’s only form of workout is walking from her dorm to her classes, Adora wakes no later than eight in the morning, Catra got mad at me for waking her up,” she lifts her hands for air quotes, “‘in the middle of the night’ at eight in the morning—”
“Adora obviously wants to be friends, but Catra keeps pushing it off,” Entrapta adds in, and based off the way both Glimmer and Bow grimace, that wasn’t supposed to be mentioned.
“So what,” Adora starts, “you just… handcuffed us together in our sleep?”
(or, in which Glimmer handcuffs Adora and Catra together for twenty-four hours, Entrapta is a little shit, and Bow is an innocent bystander in the entire mess.)

Summary
It starts on Halloween with a lost bet and princess costume. A bright pink, full length, frilly, sparkly, completely ridiculous princess costume. It might have looked cute on a three year old but a twenty-four year old woman has no business looking this magical, especially when they have a whole night of bar hopping and dancing and drinking planned.
Adora ends up at a bar she’s never been to before with a bartender she can’t take her eyes off of.
She ends up back at that same bar on Thanksgiving, again on Christmas, and then New Years Eve, and eventually on Valentine’s Day.
