Never before has Mei been so thankful that Overwatch, as an organization, tends to attract strong women. In fact, she's beginning to think she'd never appreciated it properly before she met Zarya. She is definitely appreciating it now, though. Even more so because it turns out that Russian pet names are cute as hell, and Russian bodybuilders who turn to putty in her hands when they're turned on are even cuter.

After the return of the Eagle, Rome is not done with Marcus Aquila. He and Esca are persuaded to infiltrate a group of potential conspirators -- possibly-traitorous men about whom there are yet other shameful rumors, stories of debauchery and vice. What do they get up to at their dinner-parties? To find out the truth, Marcus and Esca must pretend to be lovers, but it is a difficult thing to pretend to be what Marcus so badly wishes they could be in truth. (Or: Marcus and Esca go undercover as gay at an orgy.)

Summary
Laurent is prepared for it most days, mind carefully assigned an entirely different plane and place to rest in while his smile skims his lips and his fingertips follow. While he pretends to listen and let just enough into his conscious mind to keep up conversation without threat of his boredom being discovered.
Laurent is an ambassador to Vere. Proud, young, bored and lovely, he flits between Vere and Patras on official business when he's called upon. Officially, he is a princeling of note and subtle rumour. Unofficially, he goes to Patras for far more exciting things than state dinners.
An AU where Auguste lives, Laurent finds his joy in underground Hellfire Clubs, and Damen... well. Damen.

“The king’s marriage has not been consummated,” said Herode.
“It has!” Damen said.
“So the king would be within his rights to put aside his spouse from the first marriage and to take a second.” Herode spoke calmly, as though his words weren’t directed at the spouse from the first marriage.
Damen stood, and leaned forward, resting his fists upon the council table. He opened his mouth.
Said Herode, “To be recognized by the council, and to bestow legitimacy to its issue, the king’s marriage must be consummated in front of witnesses.”
“Damianos,” Laurent said, quietly, a third time.
Damen still did not listen. “Then I will consummate it, and you will witness, and there will be no further discussion,” he said.

“Damen, we need to leave. Now,” Laurent hisses in his ear.
Despite Laurent’s insistence, he’s as cool as always when Damen studies him out of the corner of his eye, an insouciant tumble of limbs and sharp eyes that no one else could ever pull off. There’s a hint of something worrying underneath that innate regalness, however, the skin around his mouth pulled just a fraction too tight, a slight rigidity in the hand at his side, that sets Damen’s senses on high alert.
