“Huh?”
Erling looked to the sky as he calmly explained.
“Let's meet up at night, every night. Then you can look good in front of your team on daytime and hang out with me on nighttime”He was crazy, there was no other explanation, how could he be so calm about such a stupid idea?
“You'd be fine with that?”
“Yes”
Jude scoffed and turned to his side, resting on his arm, incredulously looking at Erling “won't you feel kind of used? having to sneak around for me?”
Erling turned his body slowly towards him, getting comfortable and resting his head on his hand, blond locks cascading on the side of his face, looking at Jude in a way he couldn't identify.
“I like being with you”

Summary
Jude wakes in a forest clearing. His clearing. He blinks away the sleep from his eyes. The tremors from his dream slowly lift from his shoulders. He almost turns and stretches to bask in the glow of the midday sun when he hears a scratching against wood behind him. Not wild and imprecise like an animal, a calculated movement. Not the horns of a beast or talons of a bird, but a knife.
Hunched over on a rock nearby at the base of the stream is the largest man Jude has ever seen. His clean grey-blue tunic is strained across his broad shoulders. Blonde hair falls over his back, two braids pulled back by a leather tie. He’s nothing like anyone Jude has ever seen before.

Summary
There are certain things that Jude expects to happen when the King's plan blows up. Sir Kane had warned him, the Knights had protested, only the other Nobleman had found it genius, hoping to win the King's favour.
So how had Jude ended up drawing the short end of the stick?
