Jude scoffed and turned to his side, resting on his arm, incredulously looking at Erling “won't you feel kind of used? having to sneak around for me?”
Erling turned his body slowly towards him, getting comfortable and resting his head on his hand, blond locks cascading on the side of his face, looking at Jude in a way he couldn't identify.

Jude wakes in a forest clearing. His clearing. He blinks away the sleep from his eyes. The tremors from his dream slowly lift from his shoulders. He almost turns and stretches to bask in the glow of the midday sun when he hears a scratching against wood behind him. Not wild and imprecise like an animal, a calculated movement. Not the horns of a beast or talons of a bird, but a knife.
Hunched over on a rock nearby at the base of the stream is the largest man Jude has ever seen. His clean grey-blue tunic is strained across his broad shoulders. Blonde hair falls over his back, two braids pulled back by a leather tie. He’s nothing like anyone Jude has ever seen before.

Summary
The price of a kingdom in ruins mostly falls on Jude to pay. It is a burden and a duty he was always ready to carry. The price of being forced to marry into a loveless relationship for the sake of wealth and alliances also mostly falls on Jude to pay. It is a burden he disagrees with but has surrendered himself to. The price of Northmen invading his shores, however? Whether he is able to pay or not, it is a particular burden Jude could never have fully prepared for.

When it seems like all hope is lost, that this is what it would be like for the rest of his life, he runs into a mysterious man at a fine dining restaurant and he's more than willing to take the leap. Maybe. If things were dangerous before, it was only about to get worse but hopefully this time, it would get better after.

go hyuntak figured the rest of his days in school would be peaceful after the union fell and na baekjin disappeared. no more unnecessary fights in alleyways, no more belongings being stolen for money. however, him being sported as park humin’s lap dog made him a target for those terribly unhappy with the conclusion.
all it took was wrong turn while alone before a group of kids took it upon themselves to air out their grievances.

Summary
There was a new curse making its way through the cultivation world.
It was a strange one - curses were meant to be dark and evil, they take root into one’s soul and threaten their very existence. They are painful, dangerous and binding.
In this case, perhaps only the last descriptor would be true.
The ‘Lover’s call’ they call it. Jiang Chang wants to unleash Zidian on whoever came up with that name. It made the curse sound romantic, like some sort of poetic whisper for cultivators that spin their minds into excitement rather than the dismissal it necessitates. It was a joke.

Fate, in its' eternal boredom and stubborn willfulness, meddles with Jiang Cheng's life once more. Perhaps this time it allows him peace.
