I know I'm like 5 years late to this party but oh well. Here's a snippet of the longer piece I'm working on.
It isn't safe to be a mage in Thedas, particularly when you're the biggest religious figurehead in the midst of the apocalypse. Ellana Lavellan has denied the lightning sparks at her fingertips all her life. But after being attacked by a stretchy flesh monster, a dragon, and a blizzard, she must decide whether denying her only strand of hope is worth the cost.

Summary
Stories to share my thoughts on Good Templars, and hints at ideas about theology, philosophy, consent, and addiction. (Not all rambles!) Also, I really wanted to write a true asexy LI for Hawke! :3
Sequel, A Templar’s Trust, was born completely due to Dark_Hunter’s comment on A Templar’s Heart. (Thank youuuuu!)
Note: I am by no means an expert on addiction; I used to work at a suboxone clinic for a few years, and so some of what I’ve written here is based on my work experiences/knowledge. But again, I’m not an /expert/. If something is glaringly /wrong/, please let me know. Though addiction is discussed in these fics, it is not the major theme and isn’t discussed in great detail.

Summary

After the Blight, she finds herself in a purgatory life with no direction and no purpose.
Taken under the wing of Leliana, she starts a new life as a spy for the Divine. It brings her to the Conclave, and she awakens to find she is the only survivor. She also finds that she's not the only one from Kinloch to start over.
