Louis had thought he had sobered up a slight bit by the time he had reached his flat. Afterall he survived the walk to and from the bus without dying so he was probably sober enough. But he definitely wasn't sober enough to hear the moans coming from Harry's door before opening it to the bright view of his flatmate spread out on his bed stroking his shit with earbuds in. And maybe if he was a little more said “Hey roomie so sorry for opening your door Liam said game at flat next wednesday continue jacking it mate!” and walked away but instead his intoxicated mind just stood there staring with his mouth ajar for maybe a little too long for someone who preferred females over guys for the most part.

Rose sighed, seeing how Shane was starting to get in his head. She reached across the table, taking his hands in hers before giving them a gentle squeeze. “Shane. Look. Do you actually hate Ilya outside of him being your competition on the ice? Or is this all just some petty excuse to get away from the attraction you feel for him?”
Shane bit his lip, his heart and mind suddenly feeling heavy. “I don’t hate him, he’s just,” he licked his lips, “annoying. Annoyingly attractive, annoyingly good at hockey, and annoyingly carefree.”
“So he’s just so different from your organized, always anxious, need a plan for everything, self?”
Shane laughed. “Yeah, he is.”
“And why is that so bad?”
Shane didn’t know the answer to that.

Standing at Will's door, looking at him for the first time in twenty weeks, is Mike Wheeler, and Will wants to slam the door in his face.

"Hi," he tries weakly.
"Hey, Will." Mike gives him a lopsided grin, as if they hadn't both been pretending up until one minute ago that the last five, ten, fifteen years of their lives weren't real.
