Summary
“Who are you?” Yuuji asked.
The killer spun the knife in his hand until the tip was down. He lowered it to Yuuji’s abdomen but didn’t stab; instead, he kept it hovering. “It hurts that you haven’t figured out who I am.” The knife remained hovering over Yuuji’s body, but it moved north, toward Yuuji’s head.
Each breath more frantic than the last, Yuuji cast his thoughts out wildly. The killer thought Yuuji should have known who he was, which implies that Yuuji had met him before. But if the extent of Yuuji knowing someone included a casual conversation about the weather, then it could have been anyone.
The knife stopped over Yuuji’s chest.

Yuuji stuck his head back into the living room, eyebrows furrowed. “Yeah?”
“Just say the word,” Sukuna said. He pulled his anatomy book from the pile he’d made and laid it out on his desk. He flipped through it until a model reflective of the one on the screen stared up from the pages. “You know I’d kill for you.”
Yuuji laughed and shook his head. “So dramatic,” he said and ducked back into the hallway. The sound of his socked feet against the carpet faded quickly.
“That wasn’t a no,” Sukuna said. He glanced toward the darkened hallway and then shutdown his computer.

The hand once stroking his cheek now held a small knife, the cold blade coming to rest on his temple. Itadori felt his heart skip a beat, a break from the rapid pace it had been racing at previously. His eyes looked towards the metal, wondering if this is how he dies.
The hand around his throat loosened up the tiniest bit, allowing Yuji to suck in a lungful of air the same moment the tip of the blade cut into the top of his cheek bone.
Yuji cried out at the pain, feeling blood begin to run down his face from the cut the man had given him.
“You make such pretty noises for me.” The man groaned, smearing Itadoris' blood over his lips as he ground further into him.
“Fuck you.” Yuji grit through clenched teeth, hatred mixing with fear as he stained against the man's hold.

Summary
The muted glow of his phone’s lock screen showed 1:17 AM. Sukuna put the screen to sleep and slipped his phone into his back pocket. He returned to watching Yuuji’s house for any movement. The last light had gone off nearly two hours previous, but Sukuna didn’t want to rush the plan. He’d been careful every step of the way, building to this moment with precise, specific steps.
He’d escalated, some might say, and he didn’t want to misstep now after all the hard work he’d put in over the weeks. It would be so easy to lose himself to his building excitement, but he was a man in control of himself. What he was going to do, he was going to do right. The reward would be worth it.
The shadows around him seemed to wrap him in their embrace making him nearly invisible to any person who might look out their window. The cloud coverage provided additional security, obscuring the glowing moon.
The clanging crash of metal trash cans falling rent through the air followed by a yowling hiss of the furry perpetrator.
Still, the lights within the house remained off.
It was time.
