Jason's daemon scoffs at him, tail swishing back and forth as she trots over to Tim.
"Don't." Jason warns.
She ignores him, of course, and brushes against Tim's leg like a cat. It sends a sharp spike of something through him, and he wavers and shakes his head. His daemon grins, wolfish.
Tim just looks confused.
Jason didn't know that he had no choice in the matter of 'wearing his heart on his sleeve'. Actually, he'd rather have that than his actual soul.

A young boy slipped out and landed in a crouch before straightening and dusting of his jacket. He wore dark jeans, a black shirt and a blazer. None of it looked wrinkled or as if he'd spent any time crammed in the vents.
Neal crossed his arms in front of his chest and glowered at the kid. "Damian."
"Todd," the kid answered in a bored tone.
