Summary
It has been seventeen years since Britain's Second Wizarding War, and most wizards are happy to act as though it was just one (more) unfortunate hiccup in the Magical World's otherwise illustrious history. It was just a few dark wizards, after all. Once they were either killed or put in Azkaban indefinitely, the entire affair had been over and done with!
Non-Wizard Beings have other ideas.
As unrest is brewing and a Goblin rebellion is on the horizon, a Canadian correspondent and the Daily Prophet's first goblin journalist investigate the foundations on which British Wizarding Society has been built. What do the Goblins want? Where did house elves come from? And why don't they want to be freed?

Summary
Rose Weasley is 19 and doesn't know what to do with her life. That all changes when an angry Elf protests against her mother in Diagon Alley for failing to free the Elves. At the same time, Rose begins to fall for Teddy Lupin, who is secretly part of the Elf Liberation cause. Together they run away to join a radical Elf liberation group.
This story takes place over 20 years, across four chapters related to the seasons. Over the years the wayward Rose and Teddy encounter terrorism and conspiracy, gradually realising that the only way to free the Elves and complete their life's work is to do things the right way. All the time, Rose and Teddy fall more and more deeply in love.

Summary
There's a lot of stuff in the Harry Potter books that in retrospect foreshadowed the true character of the author, the most iconic these to me will always be the way she chose to depict slavery. When I read The Goblet of Fire for the first time as a kid I was dumbfounded by the attitude the story took towards Hermione trying to abolish slavery and I was angered by how that subplot resolved. This was back when I was too ignorant to recognize the Goblins as antisemitic caricatures, or that there was anything weird about the names Cho Chang or Kingsley Shaklebolt, or that there was anything wrong about how she wrote fat people. Even back then I still knew it was wrong to depict abolitionists as misguided and slavery as a benevolent institution.

Summary
The Weasleys are an odd bunch, Molly and Arthur know this. But even they have been shocked over the years. And sometimes it’s your own family that are the most surprising.
Or
5 times the Weasley children shocked their parents + 1 the Weasley parents shocked them
(Or as my friend puts it, Molly and Arthur find out none of their kids are straight)
