Summary
“Uh— Phil?” The man calls over his shoulder, golden eyes never leaving Tommy’s face, “I need your help over here.”
Tommy bares his teeth, wings fluttering threateningly. He doesn’t want the man to get help, he wants him to go away.
Another man steps into view. This one is short and blonde, with wings a hundred times bigger than Tommy’s, and he’s dressed just as nice as the first man. He hasn’t seen Tommy yet; he’s looking at the big pink one. Mouth open like he’s going to speak.
Tommy hisses again, louder this time. And the man's head snaps towards him— which doesn’t scare Tommy. He doesn’t shrink back, doesn’t try to tuck away his wings with a whine. Because he’s big. He’s big and scary; nothing is scarier than him and he knows it, because he says it.
“Oh,” The man says softly, expression falling at his eyes dart across Tommy’s face. “Oh, mate.”

Tommy is a small little gooseboy who gets picked up by some bewildered ambassadors and their son. Shenanigans ensue.

Summary
“Fucking—let—me—go!” he snarls, wrapping both hands around the length of the rope, painfully aware of the laughter ringing through the trees; the sounds of feet crashing through bracken; and Tommy—he doesn’t understand why the rope isn’t burning, why the frayed strands aren’t catching—it’s just a length of rope used for hunting, its not important enough to be enchanted, no one would waste coin enchanting rope to make it fireproof when it’s only use is to be part of a snare and nothing more.
The voices are getting louder and Tommy is running out of time.
There’s a trail of smoke where something just barely catches alight and Tommy doesn’t bother with a cry of victory—not when he’s not free, not when he’s still suspended up in the air, dangling by his foot, trying to burn through his shoe so that he can gain favour towards escape or free his knife—“Oh my god Techno, your snare caught a child!”
Or: Tommy is running from his past, and finds family along the way.

“Tommy…” He pauses before continuing again. “Is, um, everything okay with you? Phil keeps saying everything is okay, just a bit of teenage angst but like, are you okay?”
A sob rips out of Tommy’s throat as he begins to cry, and cry hard. Shit. Fuck. He thought he was better at this. Better at controlling his emotions.
“I-it’s not okay! Everything is wrong, Techno! I miss you so much,” he admits. “I miss you more than you’ll ever know. Fuck, I miss my family. Everything has been going wrong, and I feel so alone right now.”

OR: The Craft family is a mess. They fight, they cry and they leave. [They didn't use to always yell, but those days were a long time ago.] So when Tommy left for good he would have never expected to go back to them, let alone run into them.
