Seething, Kiyoomi leaps from his seat to his full height, chest puffed out as though he were an alpha. The sweet-gingery residuals of his scent hanging in the summer air tell a contradicting tale and Miya lounges back on his makeshift throne with one leg hooked over the armrest, grinning smugly as though finding the entire display amusing.
"I won't bow to you," Kiyoomi tells him with a surprisingly unwavering confidence. "You can fuck me, degrade me, pump me full of pups and whatever alpha's like you do, but I won't get down on my knees and beg for it. You'll never have me more than physically."
He doesn't know what he expected, maybe to be hit or worse, but Miya laughs and looks him up and down crudely over the rim of his empty cup.

Summary
“Atsumu,” Sakusa utters, causing his gaze to snap up.
His pupils are so blown out that Atsumu can't see where they blend with his black iris. His look seems just as frustrated as Atsumu has felt all these last fucking days. The furrow between his brows reveals that he wants Atsumu at least as much and yet he’s still hesitant.
Atsumu frowns and inhales sharply.
“Ya really do want me,” he says. “And ya hate it.”
He changes the angle of his knife, so it’s against Sakusa’s neck. He doesn’t look nearly as alarmed by the cold metal pressed against his skin as Atsumu might expect. Not nearly as alarmed as when Atsumu brings his mouth to Kiyoomi’s.

Summary
Long before the twins were born, their village, Inarizaki made an arrangement with Itachiyama, a tribe of wolf shifters, that one son would become the mate to the tribe’s future chief. Atsumu, the oldest and omega son, was passed up in favor of Osamu, the youngest and a beta, to carry out this agreement. Whoever was chosen would take part in The Run, a series of trials that chosen omegas and betas must pass in order to demonstrate their worth as a mate for their alpha.
To everyone's disbelief and Inarizaki’s displeasure, Sakusa ignores Osamu's presence, ultimately choosing Atsumu as his mate instead.
Untrained and unprepared, Atsumu must now participate in The Run to prove not just to his family that he is capable of succeeding but also to his future mate who has chosen him.

Summary
“Taste that fer me.” Osamu says, offering a spoonful to Rin once it’s done.
Instead of acting like a normal human being and taking the spoon from Osamu, Rin leans forward, tongue out, and slips the cold metal into his mouth while the chef is still very much holding onto it.
Osamu swallows at the same time as Rin moans around the spoon.
The chef averts his eyes, closes them and screams internally.
“That’s so fucking good.” Rin praises, and wastes no time in reaching over to try and dip a finger into the cream. Osamu slaps his hand again before he makes it and clicks his tongue.
”Ouch.” Rin mumbles. “You’ve got freakishly strong hands, you know that?”
“I know.” He answers.
Of course he does, he grew up slapping Atsumu’s hands away.
“You must give a mean spanking.”
And Osamu’s brain screeches to a halt.

If Bo invites ya around again and ya see me,” He shakes his head, purses his lips. “don’t come and say hi. Stay on yer real difficult road, with yer fancy car and designer shirt, and don’t come anywhere near my stupid easy route. That clear?”
He raises an eyebrow and Sakusa nods after a beat, rosy lips parted.
Atsumu offers him a wink, “Attaboy.”

“Do you always ask your opponents about their plot mid-game?" Akaashi asks as he looks up, grabbing a pawn to move it forward.
Although when he sees Bokuto’s watching his face instead of the chess set, thumb now tugging at his bottom lip, he drops his pawn among the other pieces with a cacophony of little clunks.
Oof.
Minutely, he shakes his head as he picks the pawn back up with trembling fingers, fixing the others while keeping his eyes away. So embarrassing.
So, so, so stupid.
Head down, he waits for Bokuto to respond. “Not really no.” There’s a chuckle hidden among the words, Akaashi focuses on the clock. “I just figured I’m so lucky to play against such a great player like you, might as well learn a thing or two.” Oh freakity fuck. “I know I can’t win anyway, but at least I can get better.”
'Humility + maturity' gets added to the list of things Akaashi finds incredibly attractive.
