Summary
Tom is a refugee of war. Tired of extreme poverty he decides to try his luck moving to the frontier. The northern lands, where the paranormal and the mundane intertwine, where no kingdom succeeding at establishing a colony, due to various paranormal catastrophes. The best these cursed lands have to offer are city-states. But being a young man with no trade, Tom struggles to make ends meet. The only way he can make a living is by supplying the raw materials for the wizard drugs to a local gang. He forages for the raw materials deep in the swamps. Then he attracts attention of a creepy secret society that works on drug refinement, and they hire him.
Its a spicy mix of dark and cozy fantasy with a pinch of body horror and some cute characters i absolutely adore.Series

Summary
A world once ruled by gods, spirits and primordial powers gives way to the mundane era of man. Like a magical ice age, it retreats from the equator and towards the poles. But far in the north the powers of old still linger. This is where the story takes place.
A goblin named Laurent is a sketchy guy that seems like a traveling con artist. When he visits a creepy magical auction ran by a slaver, one of the slaves makes an escape attempt. And Laurent helps him break free for a fee. The fee is to accompany him to his two following destinations. This kicks off their journey.
P.S. This book is finished long ago, and as i'm going over it once again, fixing up more things to make it somewhat presentable. This book i wrote and finished ages ago, and it was what kicked off my writing journey and gave birth to the Barbaric North universe. Been writing books in the same universe ever since. Trying to get printed the old fashioned way, but you know how it goes. This first book is too amateur for print, so i upload it here for everyone to see. Its a little cringe, but hey i cringe therefore i am. I remember Jake the Dog said that sorta sucking at something is the first step at being sorta good at something. So here we areSeries
