Summary
During a town-wide disaster, sick of sitting on the sidelines, Stiles answers a call from a lost little girl and takes matters into his own hands. Peter has some choice words about that, but Stiles just hopes he can convince the asshole to put a stranger's life over his own. Although, that was never really the issue, was it?

"If you think, for a moment," Peter snarled right against Stiles' face, making the boy wince and try to turn his head against the painful, unyielding grip on his jaw, "that I would choose to allow an innocent child to die a slow, painful death if I had even half the means to stop it..." Peter couldn't find the words to finish, but a growl took their place. Stiles winced as he felt a bruise already forming underneath Peter's ruthless fingers.
"You're hurting me," Stiles said through a pitifully quiet voice, shaking hands coming up to grab onto Peter's wrist.
The man was silent for a quick moment, but his grip lessened ever so slightly. "Don't you dare blame this on me, Stiles. I will happily slaughter men and women without a care in the world, but children?" Peter pushed him away. "Do you really think so lowly of me?"
