Feelings <3 ! Poetic-ish, I like it! The way I interpreted the 'rotting feeling' is internalized homophobia, which I think is obvious but who knows... Anyways I'll say the author described it amazingly and accurate to how a queer may feel at times! Especially the fear of spreading it to someone, I can confirm that, they really did good on capturing it! Plus, happy ending!

Let's just say, Thomas really, really didn't think the situation could have went so horribly wrong. No one remembers anything that happened the night before, let alone where one of their friends disappeared off to- or where the cute british blond boy sleeping in a hotel bed at Thomas' side came from. All he knows is that as the day continues, they find out more and more shit they've managed to mess up in the process of a drug induced haze.

Summary
Newt is forced to return to school after being out due to a leg injury, one that has changed his entire life. He starts to think that nothing will ever go back to the way it was after his attempt, until he gets an offer from the High School's coach, Vince, and Newt starts to think that maybe he has a chance. Well, if it weren't for the insufferable star player, Thomas Greene, who is determined to make Newt's life a living hell if he doesn't quit the team.
It does not go as expected ;)
OR: Thomas and Newt are rivals on the basketball team when Thomas realizes there's a lot more to life than winning a game. Now he has to learn to leave his old life behind in order to move forward.

The writing of each character is put into so much thought, the author is incredible at writing something like this. I heavily resonate with Teresa here, knowing I was once in a relationship where the other person didn't want my help despite my unconditional want to help them; the way her relationship with Thomas was handled, as well as ended, was greatly written. If only I had gotten my wanted confrontation with my Thomas, lol.
Aside that, the plot is so interesting! You will be glued to this the moment you start reading it, I mean it! Good job, author!
MY FAV part of the fic is the sexual tension ngl... Idkkk there's this way the author wrote it that just radiates through the screen...
Rivalry: Yes, this category is a need. We need actual rivalry and this is it. Their rivalry was serious stuff, and the story might have ended earlier if either of them has a gun. They wanted each other dead, seriously. It was true rivalry with a solid background for both. For Thomas it was his father's emotional manipulation, then for Newt was the response to each of Thomas' plan to ruin his life.
Sexual Tension (Yes, it was that good): Holy cow, their sexual tension seeps out of my screen. It was that bad, especially during the time they were still rivals. Every stare bore holes through Newt, and my screen, literally. The way author described Thomas' gaze towards Newt was hella gay, I can't believe he still hadn't came to the realization that he might like Newt. It was that ridiculous.
Dare I say that the sexual tension is what I love in this fic, I'll even say that I wish they stayed rivals more, cause it was that bad during their rivalry. Just imagine how it'll be once they feel comfortable with eachother. They are some improvements now, harsh gaze to soft looks, #whocheered? Me!

Holy shit, this fic is amazing! I love how well thoroughly detailed each of the characters relationships' with eachother were. I love how at the end, they truly were a family.

Byler doubt-less cause of this <3
Amazing story and such a well-detailed slowburn despite it being only a week for the characters. This was the Byler fic, I'll even say of all time. Author wrote the characters so beautifully, even so spot-on that I could visualize everything so clearly.
Each chapter was something to look forward to! Take your pace slow with this one, but assure no regrets with taking patience!
