Izuku’s lips quirk. “Are you happy, Kacchan. With me?”
For a horrible, fleeting moment, Katsuki considers shrugging it off. Trying for nonchalance, apathy. But Izuku’s too smart for that, deserves better than that. He’d see through it. Or worse, his face would crumple and he’d back off. And Katsuki has never felt more like he’s being tenderly urged to pieces, layer by layer, by the light pressure of Izuku looking at him with scant centimeters between them. So he tells the truth, because the truth is the only thing he knows, the only thing he can trust about himself and all of his inconceivable wants.
“Yeah,” he rasps, “I’m happy.”

Summary
As Izuku jumped down from the station platform and onto the tracks, moving desperately to wake up the unconscious man lying there as the approaching train got closer and closer, he realized his Mom had been right: Life didn’t always turn out the way you planned.
Now, as he sits in the emergency room waiting area, trying to figure out how to sort out this whole crazy misunderstanding- Which was in no way his fault, thank you very much!- Izuku fails to notice the shadow hovering over him, until a displeased grunt startles him.
Glancing up, Izuku immediately shrinks as his eyes lock with scrutinizing vermilion.
In that moment, all Izuku's thoughts escape him as he took in the blonde man standing over him. Fuck, Izuku cried internally. Why does he have to be hot?!
...Toshinori's in a coma and for some reason everyone thinks Izuku is his long-lost son, but as other forces come into play, keeping up a lie is the least of Izuku's worries.

Summary
Izuku and Katsuki grew up together, but went their separate ways during high school after a brutal verbal exchange between the two. As fate causes them to meet again as adults, Katsuki has to come to terms with the fact that his words held heavy in Izuku's heart. As Izuku battles his own demons, Katsuki looks for deeper meaning in his actions as he tries to come to terms with feelings that he's had buried since childhood. All this while trying to solve a series of murders that were leaving young children behind as sole witnesses.
OR; Katsuki is a detective and Izuku is an emotionally wreaked psychologist helping him solve a series of brutal murders.

Summary
Katsuki was raised on the belief that one has to be the strongest to make it in this world. Other people are a waste of time, minor distractions, focus should be left to being the best at whatever he does. The violence at home shaped him into more than a beast than a person, relying on his instincts and others' fear to make it by. Weakness was to be eliminated by all means necessary.
He makes his way through life like a meteor, burning through obstacles and landing himself a place at an esteemed Police Academy. He only realizes the consequences of living the way he has when an incident leaves him powerless, something he hadn't thought possible, and begins the painful journey towards recovery.
Izuku was raised on the belief that no matter what he did, it would never amount to anything. His mother never believed in him, his father out of the picture, the only person who believed in him was himself.
A victim of bullying, life took its time tearing apart his dreams, his hope, until he was left with nothing. He hides away at home, taking better care of his potted plants than himself. After an incident he begins seeing a therapist, and bumps into a childhood friend he thought he'd never see again.
