Summary
“May I,” Wriothesley hesitates. “May I help you sit up?” He’s just had his hands all over the Chief Justice, so this is an inane question, but that had been different. Neuvillette hadn’t been awake, hadn’t even been conscious. Now Wriothesley feels frozen in place, like he’s iced his own boots to the floor with a blast of misguided Cryo.
Neuvillette considers, a small line furrowing his brow. “I… think I might need you to, yes.”
Or, the one where Neuvillette drains too much of his power and Wriothesley finds and takes care of him.

Peter gives James a smile then, as uncharacteristic as anything for a Lukas, though it's just as sharp as the last time he did, like a mouth filled with knives and hard edges, and though light, filled with mockery. James finds that he doesn't necessarily mind it.

Summary
“Meeting your soul mate is like walking into a house you’ve been before– you will recognize the furniture, the pictures on the wall, the books on the shelves, the contents of drawers: You could find you way around in the dark if you had to.”
– I’ll Give You the Sun, Jandy Nelson.-"Multiverse is a term used to describe the hypothetical set of possible universes, including the one we live in. Together, these universes comprise everything that exists: The totality of space, time, matter, energy, and the laws and constants of physics that describe them. [...] the theory of relativity in order to configure a scenario that it may be possible for the existence of countless universes where, on a global scale, all probabilities and combinations occur in one of the universes, simply because there is enough space to couple other universes into a higher dimensional structure."

Summary
The voice that spoke up was deep and smooth, mouth shaping around the words with sharp edges and a taciturn disposition that Martin had never heard before. It seems that the Archivist and his Temple were to forever keep Martin on his toes when it came to expectations.
“Listen, I understand that you’re here to fulfill some great duty to your city by sacrificing yourself to me, but I really don’t have the time. Let’s just rain check it this time and we can start it up again in the next two years when I don’t have very important business to handle.” Still the Archivist had not looked up at Martin.
Martin’s eyes rose in disbelief, brow already furrowing. There was no way he heard that right, right? “Excuse me?”
or,
Martin was supposed to be the biennial sacrifice to the Archivist this year. But it seems that the Archivist has a different idea.
or,
Martin makes friends with an all-seeing god, and then falls in love.- Language:

Summary
“You two should take your lover’s spat somewhere else,” Faruzan says sternly, throwing the door open.
Alhaitham and Kaveh are standing outside, Kaveh frozen in what appears to be shock or fear and Alhaitham with his usual apathetic look on his face.
“Preferably out of earshot of anyone,” she continues, “But certainly out of the range of my hearing and not at my office door.”
Five times someone from the Sumeru Akademiya erroneously assumed that Alhaitham and Kaveh were dating and the one time they got it right. (Or, Alhaitham and Kaveh's relationship from a few different perspectives.)

Summary
When they parted, Alhaitham was Crown Prince, a half-grown youth with a brilliant mind but a clumsy mouth. The man before him was King Alhaitham of Haravatat: tall, broad shouldered, long-limbed and, above all, confident—in words and deeds. If the weight of his crown burdened him, he did not show it.
His steel-coloured hair was newly cut, his eyes like the blue-green of an illustrated ocean. He was handsome, but that handsomeness was of rough-hewn stone, not sculpted rock. Kaveh stepped forward and, hand moving of its own accord, touched Alhaitham's face.
Touched his husband's face.
In an apocalyptic Sumeru, King Alhaitham of Haravatat comes to Kshahrewar in order to marry his betrothed, Prince Kaveh.

Summary
Late at night, when he's drifting off to sleep, Alhaitham sometimes wonders what Grandmother would think.
She never knew of his Eleazar. During her final months, he came down with a fever. He saw a doctor not because he felt all that unwell, but because he was her sole caregiver and he didn't want to give her an infection.
The diagnosis shocked him, but it made sense in hindsight. The muscle aches and tremors that he had chalked up to stress then painted a different picture. And over the coming weeks, a patch of skin on his chest developed the signature scaling.
There was no point in telling Grandmother. It would have distressed her greatly, and there was nothing she could have done to change anything. She died as peacefully as it is possible to die, as she deserved, and he mourned her and the future he'd imagined for himself.

Summary
“Think of me while I’m gone,” Peter says each time he leaves Elias for the ocean and the Lonely. Sometimes he says it a little nastily, and sometimes he surprises them both with the hint of honest plaintiveness that steals into his voice.
He’s never needed to say the phrase “Think of me while I’m here,” because that’s something Elias takes to doing both with Beholding powers and absolute relish.
