Dude I was so scared it would be a sad ending LIKE WHAT WAS TDRK'S REACTION WAS WHEN BKG DIED AGGGSHSBBS i loved how the ending was written, I feel like you can sense the confidence in bkgs voice LIKE YES. HES GOING TO COME BACK AND WITH BONUSES and ugh I loved how the story was written and the setting its so good and gut wrenching because both of them still have be sent out into these battles,,, i loved the little scene between aizawa and bkg because they dont have enough heroes to not utilise bkg until hes rlly unable to BKG BEING SENT OUT AND YUZU BEING CONFUSED ARGWYHSHEG this fic was just so well written from the setting, the characters, bkgs deep insecurity, tdrks caring and comforting attitude, the ongoing war, and just the word choice was so good I cant recommend this enough

READ IT ITS SO GOOD HOLY IVE BEEN SEARCHJNG FOR A FIC LIKE THKS FOR SO LONG thr fact that katsuki didn't get kidnapped but rather self inflicted the hurt the pain and oh my god i thought it was nuts that the others didnt even try to find him in some way, like they called and everything but like he was out there for months that is crazy holy shit and the way katsuki broke i just started crying bro I love how the ending is open ended, rearing to a hopeful ending (i dont think this fic can have a happy ending, like he could be integrated into society and etc. But I dont necessarily think it'd be,, happy because of everything he went through. BUT nevertheless the ending gave me hope that there can be a future where he suffers less..) I did question why izuku notified his friends and meow but it'd probably be because kats would be overwhelmed just like the interaction he had with kiri. This story was a hell of a good story and I know that ill keep reading the first few chapters for angst every once in a while. I wasnt expecting bkgs parents coming in near the end (I thoufht it was too late/thought it would've been mentioned earlier) but nevertheless it was still nicely paced and AOYZHAHS AIZAWA AND BKG CARING FOR EACHOYHER AHEGWHE dude the part where bkg in his journal goes "i think aizawa would care if I died" was so heartbreaking but also so cute like YES he would care sm that man is ur parental figure 😭😭 i loved bkgs relationship with kiri,, staying away when they know they need time and ugh theyre written so well and AYXHSHSH this story is so fucking good I cant im gnna miss it so so so so much (also partly the reason it took me months to finish it,, i was stuck on chapter 30 and just couldn't handle it) and idk like i feel like this is gnna be a story thats gnna stick in my head for a while,, ive cried ALOT during this fic and my pillows were soaked for a while but yknow it was worth it

I like how you can see different morals and feelings that the guards/organisers in the situation, almost like a scale of how good and bad — Morana was merciful, Akeldama was ruthless and Fuji was a perfectionist, Sasaki in this scale tips it forward instead of left and right because her actions are so contradictory from eachother, the little bits of mercy but the underlying ruthlessness nearing the escape, and I feel like you can see her conflicting personalities earlier when she threatens (in lack of a better term..) to leave bkg behind and especially at the start where she shows no pity and mocking Morana. Its this kind of storyboarding where you cant help but wonder why..
I did cry a bit (my pillows are soaked) especially when Denki was like,, reviewing the past few days and was like yea i would've died if not for bkg ultimately taking most of the beating, sero having guilt over not having much injuries like ushdhhdh you feel so guilty because theyre kids and even if they weren't you'd still feel pity because theyre victims, someone who's playing in a game that they didn't expect to play. The after torture is rlly my favourite part of every whumpfic,, just everyone realising and evaluating his pain, the risks and costs, and ultimately the pay off where its like.. how much more pain can you go though? He's been held hostage by a sludge villain, kidnapped by some of the worst villains in their time, fought in 2 wars and literally died in one of them,, how much more pain did you go through that hasn't been said and how much more pain can you take
