Summary
Then he took a deep breath and he changed. He ironed out every fold in his posture and his face until he looked like Superman again. His shoulders were broad, his gaze was confident, and his smile showed no sign of embarrassment or fear.
It’s genuinely uncomfortable to watch.
Especially since Bruce knows that change. He’s seen it in the mirror before entering parties or nightclubs. He’s always referred to it, internally, as 'putting on my better face.' The façade is his least favourite part of the day, ranking just below 'getting punched by supervillains.'
The idea that Superman is just Kal's better face, that would explain a lot.
It would also mean Bruce isn't alone.

Summary
When Bruce returned from a day of work at Wayne Enterprises – he did not lounge in his office like Alfred always told him, thank you very much – he certainly didn't expect to see a party in full swing in his home.
Although he knew his birthday was close, Bruce thought that maybe this time the kids wouldn't try to organize anything. He had an ugly argument a few days ago with Jason and Stephanie, so he thought that maybe they would call everything off. Bruce shouldn't have let his guard down. His kids always tried to encourage him to relax a little, - even Damian, when he was feeling particularly magnanimous. And they did enjoy torturing him like that, he mused, scratching his chin.
So when a voice in his head that sounded suspiciously like Jason told him World's Greatest Detective, my ass, Bruce didn't even wince.
Update: some minor changes have been made, if you want to check it out!

Summary
“Hello!” says Diana Prince, cheerfully. An— an imposter, no doubt. She's in Wonder Woman gear, lined in glistening gold, but everything from the angles of her face to the way she holds herself is uncannily identical to the woman Bruce knows. “Welcome to the Justice League! Are you excited to be here?”
[ Of course I am! ] [+]
[ I’m excited to be able to prove myself to you. ] [♥]
[ Not particularly. ] [x]Bruce opens his mouth. Nothing comes out; nothing can come out, except until he forces, “Not particularly,” and then adds, “Where the hell is Superman?” because even if this is some humongous Jason-stamped prank, his first instinct is still to find Clark.
Jason becomes a matchmaker, Bruce transmigrates into a Justice League Dating Simulator, Dick regrets everything and Clark has no idea what the sweet hell is going on.

Summary
Then, Clark’s eyes met his, and he pulled away so quickly that the sound of his retreat whipped through the air. His face, for a moment, was startlingly open, and naked grief cracked harshly through his expression like a fist shattering the surface of a frozen lake. Then, it was gone, and the slate was wiped clean as though there had been nothing but a mild smile there since the very beginning.
But Bruce knew what he’d seen.
“How long?” he asked.
Clark’s mouth twisted. “I don’t know why I thought I’d be able to keep it from you,” he said softly. “You know me too well. Was that even five minutes?”
“Clark.”
Clark’s lips turned up into a smile, fracturing his face, his eyes glittering shards of lapis lazuli. “How long for what?” he asked. “For how long we were married? Or for how long it’s been since you died?”
