It hurt to breathe. It hurt to think. He couldn’t clear his thoughts as he stumbled to the family computer, pulling up a tab on google and frantically typing the name into the search bar.
The words Technoblade Watson stared back at him, the little black bar at the end of the letters blinking slowly, mocking him.
Why, of all people, did it have to be Technoblade?

Tommy loves his new family more than he thought he was capable of loving anything, so why can't he just be normal now?
Surprise visits from family members certainly don't help.
Stumbling back, he barely registered when the parcel fell to the floor, too busy trying to remember how to breathe.
“Tom.” His dad said. “I should have known you’d be here.”
Tommy moved to shut the door but was too slow as his dad forced his way into the apartment.
“Get out.” His voice shook slightly as he spoke, glancing behind him to see the door to the living room still shut – he wasn’t sure if he wanted to call out for help or not.Series

Summary
It's been a few weeks since he ran away and Tommy's moved in with Techno. He's settling in fine, except that he feels like he's constantly confused: Techno hadn't gotten mad at him once, even when Tommy made stupid mistakes and did things that would have gotten him hit not a month ago. But the strangest thing is that Techno, hell, all three of them, seem to genuinely care about him.
Hopefully Tubbo will be able to help him work out what's happening.

When college decisions come out in March, Tubbo gets into his Dream college, all the way across the country. Tommy applies to six colleges, and he gets into none.
He doesn't know how to tell his family. Techno, pursing a double degree at Harvard. Wilbur, going to film school with more passion in his pinkie finger than Tommy has in his entire body. Phil, his dad, who works his ass off for Tommy to be able to even be able to apply to college. And for better or worse, Tommy doesn't see himself alive in five years.
Everything feels impossible.

“Listen to me, LISTEN.” Techno grabs the front of Dream’s shirt, yanking, and when Dream tries to kick away, grabbing a handful of snow in his hand, Techno swings, punching Dream hard across the face. He can feel the mask crack under his fist, and he does not care, even as it crumbles off Dream’s face, falling to the ground. “Get this through your head-”
Dream coughs, gasping for air, trying to back away, hitting his hands against Techno’s arms. “Wait, wait, Techno, think about this-” Techno slams a fist across his face again. Blood hits the snow.

In which Techno has slowly but surely been developing a grudge against Dream, with Wilbur getting pushed to insanity and death (Dream had only pushed him farther), with Phil’s wings getting clipped to comply with his rules (Those were his wings, Dream had no Right-), with the way he’s always after power, always after control (Always meddling, always switching where it’ll benefit the most).
It boils over when he finds Tommy hiding away under his house, dirty, cold, and broken.
At that point, Dream is just fucked.
