Summary
Anakin absently scrolled through reports on his datapad that he knew he should have been paying more attention to, but his thoughts kept coming back to his conversation with Ahsoka earlier that day, the resignation in her voice when she told him that there was a time when she thought she could do anything, that she wasn’t sure how much more she could lose until she had nothing to hold on to. He tried to tell himself that she would be okay, that Rex and the 501st would take care of her until he got back.

Summary
All of a sudden, it was as if Obi-Wan's world had been turned upside down. He was left standing alone in front of a pair of shoes he didn't know how to fill - and above all in front of his adoptive brother Anakin.
In theory, he wouldn’t have had to take responsibility, Qui-Gon hadn't been his biological father either. But he knew what it was like to spend years in a orphanage, waiting day after day for a ray of hope.
His ray of hope had been Qui-Gon Jinn. He had been thirteen when the bearded man had taken him in, slowly breaking down the walls Obi-Wan had carefully constructed around himself.
He had been given a chance.
And Anakin deserved it too. No matter what it cost.
-Or -
After Qui-Gon's death, Obi-Wan tries everything he can to keep himself and his brother afloat. But fate has never been kind to him. Modern AU.

Summary
“Stay still, pretty boy.” The man whispered in Anakin’s ear while his hands ran up and down the boy’s sides. “It’ll hurt less.”
Anakin shivered against the man’s touch. He didn’t want this, he just wanted to go home. He wanted to curl up with his mother and bury his head in her shoulder.
But those luxuries weren’t for slaves.
***
Physical scars, Anakin came to realize, were easier to leave behind than those weaved into someone’s mind.
And once the truth is let out, there is absolutely no going back. But perhaps, in this circumstance, it was for the better.
Anakin was just lucky to have two great friends to help him through the pain.
