The King is defeated, Vaugarde is saved, and Loop wakes up choking on water. Head breaking the surface, they can’t figure out why they’re back, and who’s body they’re in.
The King is defeated, Vaugarde is saved, and somewhere in Jouvente, a defender-in-training hears a knock on their door.
This is a story of what comes after, and what came before. This is a story about dealing with ones mental health while still needing to survive and thrive in the day to day. This is a story about communication, forgiveness, childhood trauma, self image, culture, history, and new antagonists to challenge it all.

The fate of Eorzea has been shifted. Scars of the Calamity run deeper, and lives have been irrevocably altered. Scions of tomorrow find themselves unable to bring the strength they once brought to bear. The world is in need of a hero, but will one emerge?
Unit OCPI_2051_IV is far from home. They have lost everything, their tentative faith in humanity broken. They find themselves in this new realm, stripped from what little anchors they have. Will they find hope in this world? Or will they destroy it in their grief and rage?
Inpired by the Crossover "Stars in the Dark", Someone new takes the place of the "Warrior of Light". But it is someone very unfit for the role... Takes place at the end of Cytus 2, and somewhat at the beginning of ARR.
Both game's stories will be shown as the fic progresses, you can walk in knowing either. If something is confusing, please ask! Everybody is welcome!

Summary
You've always liked the slow downwards spiral of a good tragedy. There's a shock to an ending where everyone dies or goes insane, but it's an expected shock. If you know the signs, you can catch every single missed step, every sign that a character is drawing closer to the point of no return. The lover considering a blade; the maddened king catching sight of his enemy in the crowd; the jester missing a cue on their performance. Scripts are appealingly predictable if you understand them well enough. Nothing follows a pattern quite so faithfully as a tragedy does.
And when the curtain falls, it's satisfying to know that it's fallen on rock bottom. To know that's it, that's the worst it can get. No more corpses to be stacked up or lives to be ruined. You can walk out of the theater and thank the stars that the wreckage you just witnessed isn't real. Whatever else goes wrong in your life, the theater will always hold a story that's much worse than yours. It's comforting, in a weird way. Reassuring.
In the city of Corbeaux, Siffrin meets the man who will one day call himself King.

Summary
Loop's wish has different wording, and this makes a few things a little different. Mostly it means the Researcher of the group is now looping, while Stardust remains blissfully ignorant. This is certainly the main difference noticed by Loop, who looks at the evidence before then before assuming they're to play stagehand to the Researcher solving of the mystery in record time.
But roles are tricky. Very nearly tricky as wishes.
Sponsor, stagehand, lead actor, audience, critic, fool, traveler, ex-scissor wizard turned star - how absurd for a human to contort themselves to fit a single 'role'! How cruel to for a person to find that no role they can Change themselves enough to fit!
Ah, but there's no time to wallowing, not when you've one more wish to make - one more desperate GRAB at hope for the play ending, now the greatest ever cosmic joke has been replaced by a smarter actor then you could become even after a million loops.
One, two, THREE - breath in…and out, take a bow to the audience and ready yourself.
The show has once again begun ~ !
