Make them believe in something that’s not there. Make them think they’re not seeing what they actually are. So when she smiles up at her Dad, tells him she’s always wanted a new mommy so she’s glad she’s always had one all along, her Dad ruffles her hair and smiles back. “I’m glad at least you’re happy about it, Truce,” he tells her, shifting his attention and ire towards Apollo.
Apollo is looking at her.
Trucy smiles at him, her best stage smile with all the dazzle and pizzazz she can manage.
He does not smile back.
