The alpha’s golden eyes looked down, down, down at him through heavy dark lashes. His plush mouth stayed neutral, but the tick in his jaw betrayed tension.
Wei Ying’s omega surged upward, clawing at his restraint—urging him to drop the act, to give in, to take him, take what’s yours. But no. He couldn’t. He needed to hold the line, needed to make this convincing, no matter how fiercely his instincts fought to drag him the other way.
